The GRASS is greener on the other side?
Nope!
I disagree.

We may have trials, but through God’s strength, we will overcome!

Nobody has a perfect life and we don’t know this just by merely looking at others.
People may seem happy and carefree, but we don’t know what stress they have to think about and feel everyday.

I wouldn’t want to change what God has given me, no matter the difficulty sometimes, because it is only difficult… sometimes.

And even on those times, I try to pause for a second and remember all the blessings He has given me, no matter how small.
Because when I do, I realize that no hardship is big enough compared to the faithfulness of God in my life. =)

Be thankful of the GRASS that was given to you. Now relax on it, build a playground, have a bbq and invite your loved ones over.
Enjoy it and see the potential!

Enjoy your weekend!

Summertime inspiration

We’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t had the chance to do more creative activities involving the children….

But I’m inspired right now….
I want to make a little magazine like this…

I wonder if I can actually pull this off, ha!

Summertime Beach time

We’ve been going to Leo Carillo for camping for two years in a row now. The best part of this campsite is that its very nearby to the beach. It’s much cleaner than Santa Monica beach and less crowded too.

The kids love it, they can stay on the beach for hours =)

DS wanted to celebrate his 7th birthday in Legoland this year. We scored 2 day Park Hopper passes through a friend’s discount.

Our passes were good for admission to Sea Life, Legoland Theme Park and the Legoland Water Park.

We went to Sea Life first, because the theme park was still closed when we got there. Sea life is an aquarium with Lego characters. The set up is catered to young children and very interactive. It’s almost like a discovery museum. DS and DD enjoyed it! I loved the variety of colorful sea animals the most =)

The Theme Park was cute. They had a variety of attractions for the children. DH was able to ride with DS in the more adventurous rides and I stayed with DD unless there was a ride she felt like getting on.

Legoland

I was very happy with the variety of rides available. The kids were able to enjoy rides they were able to go on by themselves and there were also some that we can all go on as a family.

More than just the rides, we also enjoyed the other activities available in the park.

There was a small water play area (apart from the actual Water Park), which is always a hit with the children!

Being parents to young children, I always appreciate play areas. And Legoland delivered! =)

We were there from opening to closing of the park and we didn’t even cover the whole park. I’m so glad we had a ticket for a 2nd day! Next time, we’ll be heading to the Water Park =)

It was very tiring, but very fun! We had an amazing family time celebrating DS’s 7th Birthday at Legoland California!

Summer is here!

I’m so glad summer is here.

We get to sleep in a little later. Take our time more and slow down a bit.

My favorite part is being able to spend more time with the family. Yay!

Tomorrow, we will be at La Mirada to attend the 10th Annual Walk for Cure for Scleroderma Research and Awareness.

My beloved husband and kiddies made this video to be uploaded on the Walk for Cure website. I hope you guys enjoy it!

It’s comforting to know I am not alone, and I’m surrounded by people who constantly remind me that they love me and are praying for me =)

Scleroderma Blog

I started a Scleroderma Blog that has all the details of how this disease has quickly affected our lives in the last few months.

You can check it out here

Hair Bow Style

I saw this super cute hairstyle from Pinterest a couple of weeks ago, and I finally had a chance to do it to DD’s hair.

kcmunda

It’s not super neat (I really didn’t want to put too much hairspray on her), but I think it turned out good for a first try =)

Here’s a youtube link if you want to learn how to do it too…

The Lord is My Shepherd

I was encouraged when I saw this at the doctor’s office the other day…
It’s derived from Psalm 23 but with captions.  I’m sorry, I don’t know who wrote the captions.
Anyway, I find this very powerful…. I thought I’d share this with you all.

The LORD Is My Shepherd

The LORD is my shepherd; That is relationship

I shall not want. That is supply

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:That is rest

He leadeth me beside the still waters. That is refreshment

He restoreth my soul:That is healing

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness That is guidance

for his name’s sake. That is purpose

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, That is testing

I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; That is protection

thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. That is discipline

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: That is hope

Thou anointest my head with oil; That is consecration

my cup runneth over. That is abundance

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: That is blessing

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD That is security

for ever.That is eternity
