This 2010, I will TRY to fix myself up more often. I would love to be made over by a pro, but for now, I’m asking tips from friends and loved ones, and using the handy dandy internet.

Just today, as I was thinking of trying out the smokey eye look, I receive an email from ELF, they have a special deal, get the New Year Look for $10. And thats not all, they gave me a code of 2010 to apply at checkout to get the items for free. That’s right, FREE! You can use it too!

Since I’ve been thinking of ordering more foundation and blush, I decided to include it in my order as well.

My order totaled to $15.95 and that included shipping, woohoo!

By the way, i just learned that ELF has a youtube channel to give tips on putting on make up for people like me who are a bit new on this makeup thing….

Barnum and Bailey and Ringling Bros Circus Presents ” Zing Zang Zoom!” We were planning on taking the kids, but our one year old might not have enough patience to sit through the entire show, hopefully next time.

But if you’re planning on going to the performances in the LA area, you can use promo code RADIO to save $7 per ticket. Cool savings!

And if you haven’t done so yet, visit the Ringling Bros website and sign your baby up for a FREE circus ticket. Any child under 1 year old is eligible to receive one, and the ticket never expires. I have one for my DD here already. You should get one too.

1. Buy only things you need- Sometimes just because it’s a sale doesn’t mean you have to buy it. You’re not really saving if you’re buying things for the sake of saving money on unnecessary purchases.

2. Be creative and repurpose items- Use shipping boxes you get in the mail to wrap your presents. Use cut outs from magazines to use for scrapbooking, making cards, arts and crafts.

3. Pack your own lunch- You will easily save money by buying bulk and making your food yourself. You can also utilize reusable containers and utensils, so you’re not only saving money but the environment as well.

4. Be a smart shopper- As much as possible, don’t pay full price for items you need to buy. Use coupons, comparison shop and do your research before you buy.

By the way, did you hear? Oprah is giving away a free KFC meal? Just go to Oprah.com/kfc. offer is good only till today.

Also, you can get a free coupon for Glucerna cereal at Glucernacereal.com.
So print your coupon already!

The commercials have been haunting me lately. Coco’s has been advertising $7.99 Big Deal Meals. We finally caved in and decided to give it a try. We’re toying with the idea of having Aaron’s birthday celebration there. You can say that we’re doing research. =)

DH chose the Parmesan Crusted Chicken, it came with spaghetti, ceasar salad and garlic bread. He ordered it with soup and iced tea. I had the Texas chopped steak, mashed potatoes, salad and garlic bread. Instead of soup, I chose a strawberry shortcake sundae and had my diet coke.

As it turns out, Tuesdays and Wednesdays is Kids Eat Free after 4pm. We ordered DS mac and cheese and veggies and chicken strips and a fruit bowl for DD. Each one normally costs $4.99.

So we’re finally home, full and satisfied. The bill came out a little bit over $19 for all four of us. I even got to take the rest of the mac and cheese and chicken strips home for my lunch tomorrow.

Now, I relax in front of the tv for a bit…
