It has been a week since My DD’s 4th Birthday Party. We celebrated it Cowgirl Style.

We were super lucky to have found the Little Barn on Google.
Elle's 4th birthday invitation
It’s located on 130 s. Beaudry, Los Angeles, CA

I was able to put together a simple dessert table.
Cowgirl Birthday Party
I used some crates and chopping boards to hold the goodies.

We were very lucky to have my brother in law make some very delicious cupcakes for the party.
Cowgirl cupcakes
These were chocolate cupcakes with yummy cream cheese frosting inside.

I made some Marshmallow Smores.
Marshmallow Smores
I stuck a marshmallow on a stick, dipped it on chocolate and then on crushed graham crackers. It was a hit. And I loved how easy it was to make them.

I also made some chocolate rice krispy treats.

I dipped them in chocolate and decorated them with a ribbon flag on a toothpick.

For the giveaways, I chose bandanas to hold the little favors.
Cowgirl Giveaways
They served a dual purpose, the actual goody bag and an extra favor as well.

The birthday girl had such a great time.

For my mom’s birthday, my dad wanted to celebrate it at West Covina. We normally don’t go by that area often, so I decided to plan the whole day around that city.

First, we visited my cousin in Forest Lawn West Covina.

I miss Jeanny so much!

Then, we ate a light lunch at Tapioca Express.

Finally, we met up to the Elephant Bar for some yummy dinner with the Birthday Celebrant and the rest of the fam bam!

It’s my mom’s birthday yesterday. I wanted to make her a very special card. I’ve been thinking of making a particular card for the longest time, but haven’t had the chance to execute my idea. I just never seem to get a chance to, until now =)

DSC_0139

It was funny how the kiddies were wondering why they were posing with a blank sheet of paper. Then their eyes lit up after I showed them the finished product!

I love this Fill in the Blank card idea. I can also change the words to whatever I want it to say. Oh yeah! =)

This week, we received amazing news. Our son was chosen as the first Student of the Month in his class. School just started and he’s already doing great!

To celebrate his accomplishment. I purchased some cupcakes and decorated a table to surprise him when he gets home from school.

His eyes sparkled looking at his surprise. That view was priceless. We also had pizza for dinner and a fruit cup for dessert. After he finished his homework, he enjoyed his newest favorite movie, Phineas and Ferb 2 Dimension.

It doesn’t take much to make our kids happy. But we’d like to take every opportunity to make sure they are. We’re so blessed with such amazing kids, Praise God!

Aaron’s actual birthday was his last day of kindergarten. There was no opportunity to have a party in school, so we decided to hand out goody bags to his friends.

Aaron loved his Psalty’s Bible and Wii’s Udraw.

Later that night we went bowling as a family.

Aaron turned 6 this year. One week before his birthday, he tell me he wanted an angry birds party. I scoured the internet for tips and ideas. Some are amazingly cute, but most are not as practical as the ideas that I needed.

We were gonna have a celebration with the Sunday School kids at church and it had to be an easy set up and easy take down.

I personalized a cupcake stand to match with the angry birds theme.

Here’s the shot of the cupcakes on the stand.

I downloaded these cute guys and the kids had fun stacking them.

We had a simple set up, but I wanted the birthday boy to have a wall so festive that he could take pictures with.
DSC01980

I used a banner I used 2 years ago from a previous party and I made a pennant banner which I can reuse for another time. The foam initials of his name was an amazing deal for a dollar each.

The kids played a game of find your partner, and the headbands doubled as a party hat. lol

Then the kids played knock over the piggies. Hubby found some green raffia balls and I taped the faces on them. The kids had to knock them over the blocks with bead bags. They had so much fun!

Did you wear green today? If not, did you get pinched? Or did you pinch someone who didn’t? Anyway, I hope you had a great day!

St Pattys 2011

I went to work, but I didn’t make it the whole day. As soon as I got to my desk, my asthma just took a turn for the worst. I was at the hospital for a couple of hours, received 3 treatments and a prescription for a higher dosage of steroids.

I spent the rest of the day resting… I’m so exhausted! But my kiddies never fail to put a smile on my face!
