Hope you all had an awesome Valentine’s Day! I did!
Wednesday, I had the day off so we had a family day (full of errands and fun). We took Elle to the dentist and Aaron to school. Then we we did some shopping and lunch out. After lunch we headed to get the children’s portraits done. Then we hung out at the mall then tired the kids out at the kids’ play area.
The hubby got me a beautiful red coat that he picked out. PLUS plus PLUS points! Woohoo!
We left the mall at around 5pm to go home. I just remembered that Aaron’s school is celebrating Valentine’s day the following day so I had to get started on his treats….all 31 of them! Whew! I had a production line going. I seal the envelopes, hubby staples the cards and Aaron puts a sticker on it.
We started getting ready for our Pre Valentine’s Date. We dropped off the kiddies at my brother’s place. My amazing sister in law generously agreed to watch them for awhile. Thank you sister!
We arrived at Michelangelo’s at around 6:30pm. It humbly rests on a small corner in Silverlake. The host/waiter was very nice and made the food sound so good.
We ordered the carprese, zucchini soup, T-Bone steak for the hubby and Chicken Parmagiana for myself.
The food was so tasty and satisfying that I got sad when I started getting full after eating barely half my plate.

For dessert, we decided to head to the closest Gelato place…thanks to Yelp, we ended up in Pazzo Gelato.
I’m not very daring when it comes to flavors, especially if it’s a new place I’ve never been to before. I tend to stick to my favorite… Chocolate, because I can always count on it on tasting good.
Family Day+ Dinner Date with Hubby= Awesome Day!
Saturday night, I asked the hubby to not buy me flowers this year. I told him that I prefer for him to just write me a valentine’s note from my tons of supplies instead of buying me a card.
Sunday, I woke up to the sweetest card he wrote….I love him!
We went to church, spent some time talking to a few friends and headed home for some low key Valentine’s Celebration.
The hubby napped and I tried to make the kiddies nap as well. I’m not sure if they did because I know I passed out a few times on the bed as well and they were awake when I finally woke up…LOL.
At 6pm, I started getting dinner ready. It was the Marinated BBQ pork that hubby prepared since last night. As usual, it turned out so tasty. Yum YUM!
After dinner, we turned off a few of the lights around the house and hubby found a love song station on his iPhone and plugged it to the sound system in the livingroom. We started slow dancing with each other but the kid’s wanted to get picked up to join us. They did that a few times, but we kept finding ways to keep dancing together. After a while, they finally let Mommy and Daddy just dance with each other. It felt really good to be in the arms of the one you love =)
This is the BEST Valentine’s Day ever! A chill day, a rested mommy and daddy, a nice family dinner, some dancing and lots of cuddling! Can’t wait for MORE evenings like this!
