Today, I slept in later than expected, which was very nice. While DH sleeps in a little longer from barely getting home that morning, I was planning to take the kids to Target to shop for a present for a shower we we’re attending. Then, we would get home just in time for DH to get up, and we can all get ready and leave.
But then the whole day decided to get unpredictable. The kiddies and I ate our cereal. All this time, DD was already getting soaked in milk since she figured that she’s going to be feeding herself now. After our cereal, DS requested to have yogurt. And guess who else wanted some? That’s right, my DD wanted yogurt too. I sat her on top of her high chair and she wanted to eat by herself again. After a while, I noticed that not only was she done, but that her whole face was covered in yogurt. So I guess it was time to give her a bath.
After her bath, the morning just dragged. We weren’t even able to go to Target when DH already woke up. DH started getting ready and then, DD fell asleep. She fell asleep for 3 hours. We missed the party.
My mother in law asked us if we would like to come over to watch the Pacquiao vs Hatton fight over at their place. DH asked them if we can leave the kiddies for a little bit so we can have a short date. It was nice of them to let us.
For dinner, we decided on going to Chewy’s in Glendale. But when we were almost there, we noticed that it’s no longer there. Sadness, I was looking forward to having some deep fried ice cream.
Then we walked along Brand and decided to try Baja’s. I have to say, I’m very disappointed, I wish we just went to King Taco in Pasadena. I love the spices they put on their meat. And you can taste the love the people at King Taco put in their food. Just for that, I’m going to King Taco for lunch on Monday, woohoo!
Then I noticed there was a Crumbs Bakery by the Americana. I had to try it.
I ordered 3 cupcakes at $3.75 each.
Here’s my verdict: Almost $4.00 a cupcake seems too much, but it’s actually shareable. The cake is moist and crumbly. The icing is a little sweeter than I would prefer but not overly sweet. The cupcake flavors are unique and interesting. So, the next time I pass by the Americana again, I will make sure I make a stop at Crumbs to try another flavor.
Ok, then we head back to my in laws. The fight was about to start. Wow, I’ve never seen Pacquiao fight and he IS good. Okay, and he wins in 2 rounds, amazing! I had goosebumps!
And the kids have been out now for a while? Yep! Just like the title of this blog entry, “Go with the flow.” So they’re out for the night, I’m going with the flow and working on my computer, yay!
