It’s 2 weeks before Christmas and very few people are decorating.
Times are tough, and people are trying to manage. Many are cutting back on energy expenses or they just don’t feel like it.
We could do the same, but hey, we have kiddies. They are our motivation to always stay positive and want to make other people happy. We’re determined to create positive happy memories for our children.
Our tree’s been up since the day after thanksgiving and our lawn decorations are out. They are mostly our old decorations from the last few years, but I do want to buy a few other small things to make the yard a little bit more cheery and bright. I guess DH and I need to make a stop at Rite Aid and CVS this weekend.
Every night, DS looks forward to watching the decorations at other people’s houses during the drive home. When we get home, he gets excited to play on our yard with his “snowman” and our neighbor’s “Santa”. Seeing them smile makes everything worthwhile.
The lights in Pasadena are supposed to be finally be up…
If you’re in town, visit the Holiday Lights in Upper Hastings Ranch. We went last year and can’t wait to see them again this year.
