I’ve been blessed to have grown up being a little bit more techie than the average girl. That I have to thank my brother for his influences. And when I met my DH almost 10 years ago, he turned out to be a techie as well.
In my teen years, my spare time consisted of doing school stuff and being involved in church. We performed a lot, attended bible studies, joined in youth group leadership and lots of ministries. It was very fulfilling to have been part of some of the lives of children who are now adults.
Now, having a career and my own family, my creative side has been encouraged by the ones I love. I have learned to cook, bake and now even starting to sew. I’m glad to use these skills in raising this awesome little family of mine.
Once in a while, I miss being out and about all the time. Those were fun times. But then I look at my family and see how happy they are, and I just want to be home with them.
By the way, in regards to being domesticated, have you heard about this wonderful kitchen appliance called the “Turbo chef?” It can cook a turkey for about 40 minutes. My jaw almost dropped when we saw it on Martha. It looks so cool. For the price of about $7,500, it better be cool =)
AHHHH another Happy Mommy.
