Because of DH’s hectic work schedule, we don’t get to go out as much as I would like. We barely have weekends that we can do something for fun. Most of the time, we just run errands and head back home. For us, being able to eat out for lunch on Sundays after church is such a treat because we actually get to go out together, before DH needs to go to sleep again to get ready for his work at night.
Last Saturday, we had a spontaneous family day. We ended up in Santa Clarita and visited Mountasia.
It used to have a rollerblading rink back in the days. It was there that I had my rollerblading accident in ’97, when I tried to rollerblade for the first time and then I fell and broke my two front teeth. It was very traumatic. This time I knew I wasn’t going to do that again, and if I had to go on skates again, I’ll be sure to hang on for as long as I can, ha! Anyway, the rink was no longer there. They replaced it with a Laser Tag arena.
Outside they also have a miniature golf corse, bumper boats and a race track. DS was too small to ride the two rides. He needed 4 more inches, maybe next time! So we took him to the arcade and the miniature golf course. He had a lot of fun!
DD on the other hand fell asleep on the carrier. She didn’t complain. What a good girl!
Then we had snacks at Farrell’s Ice cream shop. I haven’t had a banana split for a while. And it was heaven! yum!
Then we visited DH’s work. Aaron had a great time there too!
What great pictures – it looks like everyone had a nice time! Thanks for stopping by my blog, I’m glad to have found yours. I will be posting more about nursing in the near future if you’re interested.
Take care,
Steph
