For our last trip to the zoo, we wanted to be practical along with packing light as much as possible. DD wasn’t with us, so there wasn’t a reason to have to lug around a big stroller. Eventhough having a big stroller can also be helpful to store everything we want to bring. The disadvantage of a big stroller is having a BIG stroller, ha!
So we concocted this idea. I’ll be bringing a backpack with snacks and drinks and a few essentials for DS. I figured, by the end of the day almost everything in it would have been consumed already anyway. Then just bring an umbrella stroller. DH was quite hesitant, he wanted to bring our Mia Moda, which was a stroller that folds into a luggage type carry on. I knew he would be the one who will be carrying it anyway, but he finally gave in. I told him that an umbrella stroller can easily be lugged around when folded and we can even hang the handles on our shoulder as we’re walking.
Well, he came up with a better idea. He found a bag strap he wasn’t using. He snapped one end of the strap close to the handle and another one closer to the back of the seat. He secured the snaps with two zip ties each. Here you go, a Daddy Hacked Stroller Strap!
